Sunrise
A beautiful day begins
with a prayer of gratitude
as the first light of dawn
paints the sky in hues
of gold and amber
I feel the energy flow
in the warm rays of the Sun
Uplifting my spirit
as I soar with the Eagles
contemplating in silence
this priceless moment
with time standing still
in awe and worship
Fortune with Blessings
A beautiful day begins
with a prayer of gratitude
the Lord fills my heart
with joy and gladness
warm rays of the sun
his love and kindness
with peace of mind
I bow to his wisdom
fortune with blessings
ask and it shall be given

Any day began with such thoughtful meditation is sure to be spiritual and lived to fullest. I need to take the advice included in this fine poetry and not rush out of bed and off to the races -- as I too often do. Thanks for the uplifting piece. Cheers.
Wayne Brown ~ Reading all that bad news especially about how govt. is wasting tax payer's money over a cup of coffee isn't a good way to start the day or to enjoy one's coffee. Brewed coffee and some meditation ! Not a bad idea :)

These poems and haiku are awesome, just like sunrise. What a wonderful feeling of wonder we experience while watching the sun rice and set - We always want others to experience it too. Again, my hat off for you, SilentReed!

OMW! Just look at that horrible typo I’ve made. Now I’m pulling out some of my hair again... One of these days I’m going to be completely bald. Lol! You are a jogger? I can but only admire you – I love walking though, but not able to walk too far with these feet of mine. Fortunately we can watch the sun rise and set anywhere we stand, sit, walk, or run. Take car, SilentReed.

Moon Dancer ~ In my younger days I used to be a night owl.Going out most nights with friends.Waking up with a terrible hangover the next day.As we grow older our priorities change.Even our lifestyle. God is amazing
He chooses every baby's DNA and blood type
He puts every star in place to float in the sky
He creates every fingerprint with a rare design
He makes an egg to burst open with life.
God is great
He selects all the love-songs for every bird to sing
He makes broken bones mend
He gives every flower its specific perfume
He cares for seeds and they turn to fruit.
God is awesome
He tells the seasons when to change
He gives us air so we can breathe
He feeds multitudes of living organisms on our planet
He waters fields of green carpets with morning dew.
Every leaf is a marvel of God's genius
Every baby is filled with God's love
